About This Role
Waitaha School is seeking an experienced teacher with teaching knowledge and experience of students with complex needs to provide long-term teaching cover.
You will be required to teach in a range of settings. This includes; base school classes, satellite classes and outreach specialist teaching support.

The Role
Special Education Teacher
Key Responsibilities
- Teach primary and intermediate students (Years 1–8) in various subjects including English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Māori, and The Arts.
- Provide long-term cover for a teacher on leave.
- Work collaboratively in a team to support inclusive and empowering learning environments.
Qualifications
- Certificated teacher status.
- Experience working with students with complex needs.
- NZ/Aus citizenship or NZ permanent residency status.
