Primary Teacher - Leading and Delivering Specialist Technology

The Trust has a unique opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher to lead and deliver specialist technology across the Primary phase.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who believes that children learn by designing, testing, and improving. We are looking for a teacher who can inspire pupils to work with their hands, develop practical skills, and turn their ideas into real projects.

The Trust’s approach to Design & Technology goes beyond normal design activities. Pupils will have opportunities to work with wood, card, textiles, mechanisms, tools, and a range of materials, developing the skills and confidence they need to design unique products within a designated workshop.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality teaching within assigned subjects and curriculum areas, using secure subject and pedagogical knowledge.
• Lead or share leadership responsibility for identified curriculum areas, as agreed with Trust and school leaders.
• Ensure that pupils are taught to use equipment, tools, materials and resources safely and responsibly.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum provision, resources and approaches to teaching.
• Undertake relevant professional development and training associated with assigned teaching, curriculum and health-and-safety responsibilities.
