About This Role

Do you believe museums and schools should work more closely together? Do you combine creativity with organisational skills and the ability to work across the curriculum?

We are looking for a proactive Museum Learning Manager to work closely with the Head of Museum Learning. This is a rare opportunity to join a ground-breaking Multi Academy Trust with Museum Learning at its heart. We use museums and collections in innovative and important ways to help our children and students learn.

You will use the Trust’s unique collections to inspire curiosity and enrich learning across our academies. You will lead on the design, delivery and daily management of engaging Museum Learning activities within one of our academies, helping students and staff make meaningful connections with museum objects and supporting the Trust’s vision of “One Community, Many Ideas, Everyone’s Future.” This will involve working closely and in consultation with teachers, children and young people, to manage projects, curate exhibitions, deliver workshops, manage volunteers and support communication with external and internal stakeholders. You will also be responsible for the care, documentation and development of the Trust’s extensive handling collection.

If you have experience of working in a learning or education role in the museum sector or a related environment and you care about achieving the best outcomes for children and young people, we would love to hear from you.
