We are seeking a passionate and skilled Science Teacher to become a part of our Middle School and High School teams starting in August 2026. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Teach Science to Middle and High School students, covering topics in biology, chemistry, and physics while adhering to IB standards.


Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that promote inquiry, experimentation, and analytical skills.


Craft individualized learning plans tailored to the diverse needs of students, ensuring that challenges are suitable for different levels of comprehension.


Regularly evaluate and track student progress, offering constructive feedback and modifying teaching methods to enhance academic growth.


Utilize technology and digital resources to enrich science education, incorporating lab simulations and data analysis tools.


Participate actively in extracurricular activities such as science clubs, fairs, and environmental programs.


Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines to create a cohesive, interdisciplinary learning experience aligned with the IB philosophy.


Support students in their academic, personal, and social development, encouraging their interests in scientific subjects.


Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development.


Ensure teaching practices are consistent with IB inquiry-based learning principles and the school’s values, promoting curiosity and a scientific mindset.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A university degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field) along with a recognized teaching qualification.


Experience in teaching science to Middle and High School students, preferably within an international or IB educational context.


Familiarity with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP), as well as inquiry-based methodologies in science education.


Proven ability to create a dynamic, experiential learning atmosphere that cultivates curiosity and engages students.


Competence in integrating technology to enhance science instruction through experiments, simulations, and interactive resources.


Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (basic knowledge of French is an advantage).


A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively with colleagues from different disciplines.


Flexibility and adaptability within a multicultural environment.


A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on advancements in science and educational practices.


A proactive attitude with a passion for motivating students to explore and appreciate science.


Willingness to engage in extracurricular activities, including science fairs, clubs, or environmental initiatives.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
