Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and enhance the Design Technology curriculum.
- Promote exceptional teaching practices by integrating creative, technical, and industry-relevant skills.
- Monitor student progress, utilizing data to guide intervention strategies and curriculum advancements.
- Ensure quality assurance through lesson observations, data tracking, and departmental planning.
- Contribute to the school’s strategic vision and improvement initiatives, fostering collaboration across subjects.
- Assist the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in preparing for inspections and facilitating professional development in Design Technology.
Skills:
Successful candidates should possess:
- A B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent qualification in Secondary teaching or a related field.
- Experience in teaching the British curriculum – Design Technology to GCSE and/or A Level.
- Extensive subject knowledge.
- A background in working within a high-performing teaching team.
- A proven record of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- At least 3 years of experience leading a team of Performing Arts teachers.
