Nord Anglia International School in Hong Kong offers exciting opportunities as we expand our Secondary education department with a state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre, set to launch in August 2026. This new center will provide IBDP, A-Levels, and BTEC programs.

We are seeking passionate Secondary Teachers for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 who can cultivate a student-focused learning atmosphere and create a significant impact.

We are especially eager to welcome a BUSINESS STUDIES TEACHER to our Secondary team to elevate the quality of teaching and learning in Business Studies.

The role:

As a qualified Teacher of Business Studies, your main duties will include:

  • Initiating programs to boost student engagement and school spirit.
  • Assisting with extracurricular activities and school events.
  • Enhancing parental involvement through effective communication and updates on student progress.
  • Delivering engaging, inclusive, and impactful lessons.
  • Fostering creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking.
  • Employing data-driven strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Integrating digital tools to enrich the learning experience.
  • Serving as a Form Tutor and contributing to the IB curriculum.
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum.
  • Ensuring effective assessment practices and providing timely feedback.
  • Participating in curriculum innovation and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development.
  • Reflecting on teaching practices to improve effectiveness.
  • Promoting school values and nurturing a positive school culture.

The Successful Candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor of Education or a relevant degree with a PGCE in a Business Studies-related discipline.
  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience teaching in a UK or international environment.
  • Training in Business Studies or a related qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years teaching experience.
  • An understanding of student learning and development within the context of Business Studies.
  • Awareness of current trends in Business Studies education.
  • Knowledge of broader educational developments.
  • Experience in enhancing academic standards for diverse student populations.
  • Skills in planning, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating lessons within the curriculum.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and subject-specific expertise.
  • Understanding of assessment and reporting protocols.
  • Knowledge of IGCSE, A Level, and IB syllabi, along with related examination processes.
  • Ability to incorporate technology into classroom instruction to enhance student learning.
  • A current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries of residence.
  • Compliance with visa regulations for employment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students, along with a willingness to participate in relevant child protection training as required.
