GEMS FirstPoint School is on the lookout for two outstanding educational leaders to fill the role of Assistant Principal (Whole School). This position will be part of a high-performing executive team at a prestigious British curriculum school, recognized as Outstanding (BSO) and Very Good (KHDA). With more than 2,000 students aged 2–18, FPS fosters a values-driven community with an ambitious vision and a proven record of innovation and success.
These senior roles are integral to the ongoing enhancement journey of the school and our established Path to Outstanding framework. Successful candidates will exhibit the strategic vision and operational ambition needed to drive improvements across all educational phases. The specific responsibilities will be tailored to match the skills and experiences of the chosen individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead whole-school improvement initiatives that yield measurable results across all phases (EYFS to Post-16)
- Uphold high standards in teaching, learning, pedagogy, and curriculum design, grounded in research-informed and evidence-led practices
- Advocate for excellence in academic progress and achievement, ensuring the consistent application of high-impact strategies throughout departments
- Support and challenge teaching staff and middle leaders through a structured cycle of monitoring, evaluation, and accountability
- Contribute to the strategic leadership and daily management of the school as part of the executive team
- Innovate curriculum development and instructional methods to cater to the needs of diverse learners in a dynamic international environment
- Lead professional development for staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Oversee the strategic development and implementation of whole-school assessment, feedback, and reporting frameworks, ensuring they align with curriculum goals, high standards, and evidence-informed practices
- Utilize assessment effectively to guide teaching, intervention, and improvement, ensuring consistency and impact across all phases and subjects
