As Victoria International School of Sharjah (VISS) approaches its 19th year in operation in August 2026, we reflect on our journey that began in September 2007 in Al Taawun with a modest enrollment of fewer than 200 students. Over the past 18 years, we have transformed into a thriving network of schools, comprising 2 IB World Schools that offer the Australian (Victorian) Curriculum from KG through Grade 12, including the IB Diploma Programme, currently serving over 5,000 students across five campuses.
Our schools are guided by a skilled international academic leadership team with significant experience in the UAE, supported by the VISS Schools Group, which is dedicated to providing top-notch Australian and international education to a diverse global student body.
We are looking for experienced and passionate educators to become part of our vibrant team. The ideal candidates will deliver engaging lessons that align with the Australian Curriculum (adapted to our context) and help nurture students into confident, independent learners.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-quality teaching and learning experiences that align with the curriculum
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning atmosphere, emphasizing student wellbeing and safeguarding
• Track and evaluate student progress, offering constructive feedback
• Establish positive relationships with parents and colleagues
• Participate in school initiatives and contribute to ongoing improvement
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant field
• A recognized teaching qualification and professional registration (e.g. VIT, QTS, or equivalent)
• Experience in an international or Australian curriculum setting is preferred
• Regional experience is a plus, but not mandatory
