Job Overview
Socrates Educa International School (Salou) is situated in Salou, south of Barcelona, surrounded by a stunning Mediterranean landscape. Our state-of-the-art facility has the capacity to accommodate up to 800 students (currently 670) and provides an inclusive, comprehensive education for learners aged 1 to 18. As the first institution to implement the Socrates Educa model, we offer a forward-thinking pedagogical approach aligned with a modern curriculum, which will soon be introduced in additional schools across Spain and internationally.
Our vibrant trilingual environment promotes English, Spanish, and Catalan, catering to Pre-school, Primary, Secondary, National and International Baccalaureate (IB Diploma Programme), along with the US High School Dual Diploma. With an international focus, we also offer Chinese as a foreign language. While our curriculum reflects local educational standards, it is enriched by global teaching influences and predominantly delivered in English. Our alumni are currently enrolled in 130 universities across 17 countries, including some of the world's most esteemed institutions (see the Alumni section on our website). We are continuing to expand our IB and Bachillerato offerings (projected at 120 for next year) and will enhance the variety of subjects and delivery methods available.
We are in search of a Primary teacher who is capable of instructing subjects in English, beginning in September 2026.

Ideal candidates will be collaborative team players who are innovative, creative, adept at differentiating instruction, and passionate about bringing learning to life in a multilingual setting. International teaching experience is a must, and familiarity with Catalan is a plus.

Experience in international educational institutions across diverse continents or countries with varied curricula, International Baccalaureate accreditation, knowledge of Phonics, technological proficiency (particularly with Apple products and educational apps), a Montessori approach, open-mindedness, creativity, teamwork, the ability to differentiate instruction, enthusiasm for a multilingual environment, and a readiness to engage in a challenging new project.
PGCE or equivalent in Primary, QTS.
