Curriculum Overview

Doha British School adheres to the National Curriculum of England, modified to embrace Qatar’s cultural heritage and values. The DBS curriculum is crafted to be pertinent, enriching, and demanding, effectively combining academic rigor with leadership, creativity, and global citizenship.

Candidates for this position should possess:

A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.

A certified teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS, complemented by an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be supported by a relevant subject bachelor’s degree).

Outstanding subject expertise, with significant experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.

Experience in teaching IGCSE, AS/A Level.

A demonstrated history of delivering exemplary teaching and learning.

A strong dedication to engaging with the broader school community through extracurricular activities.

This position is set to begin in September 2026; however, staff are expected to arrive in the country by mid-August for orientation and induction.
