About This Role

INTRODUCTION:

SNA Marianapolis International School – Bien Hoa Campus is the pioneering fully international school located in Bien Hoa city and Dong Nai province, and it represents the second institution in the SNA International Schools System, managed by Nguyen Hoang Education Cooperation. The school commenced its first academic year in 2021 and currently serves over 500 students.

The primary goal of SNA Marianapolis International School – Bien Hoa Campus is to embody the core values of the SNA educational ecosystem, which has been cultivated over 18 years, and to offer students in Bien Hoa city an enriching environment that fosters experiential and creative learning.

JOB PURPOSE:

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Elementary Homeroom Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be accountable for delivering a superior educational experience for all students in accordance with the Advanced Placement curriculum.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teach the classes or subjects assigned by the principal with diligence and fidelity.
2. Adhere to the established curriculum for each grade level.
3. Collaborate in the development, creation, and selection of new curriculum, instructional resources, and materials.
4. Manage effective instruction, training, and assessment of student progress in assigned subjects and report to the Principal when requested.
5. Inspire students to engage in lifelong learning.
6. Keep precise records of students’ academic and behavioral performance as instructed by the Principal.
7. Engage in regular communication with parents, maintaining records in the prescribed school format.
8. Model and promote respect for religion and embody the core values and beliefs of SNA Marianapolis.
9. Guide and support student activities and after-school clubs.
10. Always represent SNA Marianapolis positively.
11. Foster cooperation and coordination among staff members.
12. Provide parents with regular updates on their children's learning and progress, scheduling one-on-one meetings to discuss specific concerns as necessary.
13. Participate in meetings with fellow teachers to address the academic and social needs of students under their care as directed by the Principal.
14. Make timely and appropriate referrals for students experiencing difficulties to the designated support personnel.
15. Return all necessary documentation, reports, and school property in their possession as directed by the Principal upon the conclusion of their employment.
16. Utilize only textbooks that the school has approved.
17. Actively take part in grade level meetings.
18. Attend scheduled staff meetings and serve on faculty committees as requested by the school administration.
19. Supervise students within the classroom, hallways, playground, and during breaks, recess, and dismissal times.
20. Carry out supervision responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
21. Comply with school policies and procedures.
22. Enhance professional competence by participating in in-service training, seminars, and college-level courses.
23. Perform additional related tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/MA/BS/MS in Elementary Education.
• A valid Teacher License is required.
• Teacher Certification from North America is preferred along with three years of teaching experience.
• Proficient in computer technology as it relates to classroom applications and record-keeping.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods or stand while teaching.
• Must be capable of walking across the campus and navigating stairs multiple times throughout the day.
• Ability to adjust one's posture by bending, leaning, or sitting on the floor to engage with each child effectively.
