Job Role
The primary responsibility is to support the academic, social, emotional, and career development of students at all levels (EYFS–KS5), while promoting wellbeing and a culture of positive mental health within the school community.
Job Responsibilities
•
Provide individual and group counseling services aimed at improving students’ emotional and social wellbeing.
•
Develop and implement a comprehensive guidance and wellbeing program for the entire school.
•
Assist students in their academic planning and goal setting.
•
Lead career guidance initiatives, including university pathways and career options, as needed.
•
Work collaboratively with senior leadership, teachers, and parents to meet student needs.
•
Identify and support students facing safeguarding or wellbeing challenges in compliance with UAE regulations.
•
Maintain accurate and confidential records for each student.
•
Conduct workshops that emphasize wellbeing, resilience, study strategies, and personal development.
•
Contribute to safeguarding and child protection efforts.
Job Requirements
•
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
•
Valid counselling certification or licensure.
•
In-depth understanding of child protection and safeguarding policies.
•
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
•
Ability to work empathetically within a diverse cultural environment.
•
Experience as a Careers Counsellor at the Secondary school level is desirable.
