About This Role

Are you enthusiastic about counseling and eager to motivate others in their growth? Become a part of our exceptional Counseling team at Exeter College and help shape the future of skilled, ethical practitioners.

This is an excellent chance to collaborate with a highly skilled and supportive team dedicated to empowering learners to be confident, capable listeners who can practice counseling safely and ethically. Our students represent a diverse array of backgrounds—whether they are discovering counseling for the first time, enhancing their current roles, or training to become fully qualified professionals—you will be instrumental in their development.

We are in search of a qualified counselor with teaching experience or someone who is eager to enter the classroom. You should be a strong communicator who thrives in a team-oriented environment. If you don’t have a formal teaching qualification yet, there’s no need to worry—we offer extensive training and support to ensure your success.

We are looking for a lecturer to join our team and teach our Certificate in Counseling (Level 3), with the possibility of contributing to additional courses down the line. Our counseling programs range from Levels 2 to 5 and are co-taught, providing learners with richer perspectives and more individualized support while cultivating a robust, collaborative teaching culture among our staff.

All programs are accredited or quality assured by the National Counseling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), with our offerings proudly rated as ‘Outstanding.’

As a part of Exeter College—also awarded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted—you will be joining a progressive faculty committed to making a significant impact in the community through education, partnerships, and skills development.

If you are ready to inspire, support, and make a meaningful difference, we would love to hear from you.

Ambition, Collaboration, Energy. These are the values we uphold. Watch this brief video to learn more. And see what our staff have to say here.

Benefits
We offer an incredibly generous holiday package and an excellent pension scheme. Additionally, you will enjoy a range of fantastic benefits, including free counseling and discounts on supermarket shopping, spa treatments, electric cars, and paddleboarding. For more details, visit our careers page.
