About This Role
Student Outcomes:
● To analyse and monitor the performance ofstudents within the department to ensurethat all students are reaching theirpotential and developing a range of intervention strategies as appropriate
● Accountable to the Head of Departmentfor the development and implementationof student performance across thedepartment at allKey Stages to make ameasurable contribution to whole schooltargets as appropriate.
● Accountable to the Head of Departmentfor the development of alternative coursesand accreditation to meet the needs of allstudents.
● To ensure the well-being and personaldevelopment of all students.
Post Title:Teacher of History
Job Purpose:All teaching staff are expected to fulfil and upholdthe TEACHERS’ STANDARDS in their role.
Curriculum:
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum area including all statutory requirements to provide a curriculum that is appropriate to the needs of all students.
- Completion, monitoring and evaluating SoW to ensure that the curriculum is appropriately differentiated to meet the needs of all students.
- Promotion of all national/local strategies and priorities within the curriculum area.
- Provision of an enhancement to the curriculum (extracurricular activities: trips/visits/enrichment activities as well as super curricular activities: booster sessions/workshops).
- To formulate, communicate and monitor the progress of the curriculum improvement plan to ensure it makes a
significant contribution to the SIP.
- Completion, monitoring and evaluation of the core practical requirements of the course, including the relevant training and upskilling of staff to ensure that this is completed.
