About This Role

We are seeking to hire for this role from 14 September 2026 to 4 December 2026. Candidates must be residents of Singapore.

Core Responsibility:

To provide a vibrant, challenging, and enjoyable educational experience for students both in and out of the classroom, while offering the necessary support for them to succeed at SJI International.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Teaching and Learning

  • Identify and apply the most effective active and innovative teaching techniques for SJII students, in alignment with contemporary best practices and the ethos of our institution.
  • Work collaboratively with other Faculty members to uphold consistent standards in areas such as curriculum development and implementation, formative and summative assessments through classwork, homework, and formal exams, as well as standardization and moderation of the examination process.
  • Create an engaging learning environment, highlighting student achievements through displays.
  • Teach students in the IB Diploma Programme (Grades 11 & 12). Experience with IB/A-Level or similar is preferred.
  • Explore and utilize both local and international resources to broaden learning beyond the classroom.
  • Apply strategies and monitor teaching and learning activities to support individuals with SEN/ESL per school and faculty policies.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations within the classroom.
  • Consistently assign and assess homework in accordance with school and faculty guidelines.
  • Instruct on study skills and strategies that bolster students’ capacity for independent learning.

Recording and Assessment

  • Set clear objectives aimed at enhancing student performance.
  • Collect and record assessment data.
  • Adhere to established protocols for identifying, assessing, and reviewing student progress.
  • Foster an understanding of diverse learning needs and the importance of enhancing student achievement.
  • Engage in parent conferences and communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress through assessments, written reports, and ongoing communication via email and the student diary/planner.

Standards and Quality Assurance

  • Uphold the mission and values of SJII as a Catholic, Lasallian institution.
  • Exemplify appropriate standards concerning dress, punctuality, and attendance.
  • Participate in open evenings and student performances.
  • Maintain the school’s behavior code and uniform policies.
  • Engage in staff training and annual performance evaluations.
  • Attend team and staff meetings as required.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Compensation
