About This Role

Do you perceive education and learning as a lifelong adventure rather than just a career? Are you someone who embraces risks while maintaining a sense of humor alongside your enthusiasm? If so, St. Gilgen International School is excited to invite a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Music (general/vocal) to contribute significantly to the ongoing growth of our outstanding school. This role offers a 75% contract with numerous opportunities for additional private teaching and performance engagements in St. Gilgen and the broader Salzburg area. In addition to teaching, this position involves overseeing the Instrumental Teaching Programme (ITP), which requires managing ITP lessons and resources, with a small portion of time allocated for this responsibility (a detailed job overview can be provided upon request).

This position has been re-advertised; candidates who previously applied and were not selected are encouraged to reapply if they remain interested.

The perfect candidate will be a remarkable and imaginative educator with a genuine passion for teaching Music to students of all ages within the school. Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme would be particularly advantageous and highly valued. Moreover, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of learning in our 24/7 boarding school environment, including co-curricular activities, student mentoring, and responsibilities in the boarding house; this may require some commitments during evenings and weekends.

Established in 2008, St. Gilgen International School (StGIS) is a co-educational day and boarding institution serving students aged 9 to 18. We are currently embarking on an exciting new chapter, growing from strong to even stronger together. If you wish to be part of this journey and desire to work in a welcoming and purposeful environment that strives for HIGH STANDARDS within a supportive and collaborative setting, we encourage you to review the attached details and submit your tailored application as instructed.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values
