Position Overview
We are looking for a fully qualified and seasoned Teacher of Mathematics to join our enthusiastic and committed team. The ideal candidate will have a true passion for teaching, a commitment to the holistic development of children, and the ability to work collaboratively in line with the school’s ethos, values, and goals.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
· A recognized degree in Mathematics or a related field from an accredited institution, along with a PGCE, QTS, or another globally recognized teaching qualification.
· At least three years of teaching experience in mathematics across KS3–5, showcasing a successful track record in I/GCSE and A Level examinations.
· Demonstrate excellent classroom practices, preferably with external validation.
· Possess a strong understanding of effective teaching strategies, learning processes, and the strategic application of assessments to enhance learning and utilize data effectively.
· Illustrate the impact of teaching on the academic progress of individual groups and cohorts of students.
· Be willing to work with small groups of students, including those with special educational needs, to provide targeted support and ensure their progress.
· Exhibit a commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
· Be proficient in Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications; experience with SIMS is a plus.
· Have a comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection best practices, supported by recent, relevant training.
· Participate in and/or lead a variety of extracurricular school activities.
· Be an outstanding team player, supportive of the Catholic ethos, values, and mission of the school, and dedicated to the holistic education of children.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide pastoral, academic, and behavioral support to students.
· Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in formal assessment processes.
· Assist parents with referrals to external agencies as needed.
· Collaborate with parents, staff, and students on Individual Education Plans.
· Communicate effectively with parents through reports and meetings.
· Engage in and lead extracurricular activities.
Salary and Benefits:
· Competitive salary ranging from CI$55,000 - CI$68,500 per annum, tax-free, based on experience and qualifications.
