About This Role

Woldingham School is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and innovative Part-Time Teacher of Drama to become a part of our vibrant performing arts department, a key strength of our institution. Our ambitious development plan is dedicated to enhancing the performing arts experience, allowing our students to thrive alongside their aspirations.

The Drama department is situated within the Millennium Centre, a contemporary and fully-equipped venue for the Performing Arts, featuring a 630-seat auditorium, a drama studio, dressing rooms, and academic classrooms.

Woldingham is a joyful and successful Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18, proudly established as one of the leading independent girls' schools in the UK. We consistently outperform many institutions with more selective admissions processes. This success is attributed to Woldingham’s comprehensive academic enrichment, extracurricular programs, robust pastoral support, and nurturing community. Located near London, yet nestled in a stunning rural landscape, Woldingham boasts a strong community culture built on a rich heritage spanning 180 years. We are dedicated to an exciting future supported by innovative ideas and cutting-edge facilities.

The Woldingham community is diverse, representing a variety of backgrounds and cultures, with numerous languages spoken. This diversity is highly valued, and we encourage applications from all candidates who meet the role's requirements, regardless of their backgrounds. All applicants will be evaluated solely based on their qualifications for the position.

Apply via the WhatSchool platform. This role will close at 09:00 am on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026. Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 27th April 2026. Shortlisted candidates must be available for an on-site interview.

Woldingham School is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to uphold this commitment. An enhanced DBS check will be necessary for the successful candidate.

Professional development and staff welfare are paramount to us. Our dedicated team is Woldingham’s most valuable asset, and we strive to ensure that everyone is supported in their roles effectively, enjoyably, and fulfillingly. Staff development is a priority, featuring induction and mentoring programs for Newly Qualified Teachers and new team members, alongside an annual cycle of Personal Professional Development planning for all staff.

Employees are encouraged to take advantage of our exceptional facilities, including a gym, squash and tennis courts, and a swimming pool. The Staffroom Committee organizes regular social events, while individual staff members have arranged on-site yoga classes and reflexology sessions.
