About This Role

Job Overview: Founded in 2015, Anne Hill International offers international education for children aged 2-13 and is set to open its secondary school campus in August 2026. Our objective is to provide accessible, high-quality international education, with a vision focused on nurturing well-rounded, globally conscious, lifelong learners.

Currently, we serve approximately 350 students from 30 different countries, supported by a dedicated team of 30 educators from diverse backgrounds.

The upcoming secondary school will introduce a curriculum featuring the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) and Cambridge Lower Secondary, progressing towards the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). We take pride in being a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

Role Responsibilities

We are in search of a Teacher of Drama for Year 7 to Year 9, who can effectively initiate and expand programs within our evolving curriculum. The curriculum will be based on a modified IMYC framework, and the successful candidate will be instrumental in the design and execution of this new educational initiative.

Experience in teaching English as a Second Language or a humanities/social studies subject would be beneficial.

All educators are expected to actively participate in the pastoral/homeroom curriculum and engage in after-school activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Subject Teachers will be responsible for the academic advancement and pastoral care of their students, in line with the school's Guiding Statements, curriculum, and policies.

  • Set high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge students.
    • Create a supportive, secure, and vibrant classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence while fostering a willingness to take risks in learning.
    • Develop lesson plans with clear objectives that promote active participation, independence, collaboration, and connections across subjects.
    • Uphold consistently high standards through strong relationships and inclusive practices.
  • Foster continuous progress and outcomes for all students.
    • Understand students’ needs to tailor learning experiences, leveraging curriculum sequencing and prior knowledge to enhance progress.
    • Encourage student reflection, ownership, and a conscientious approach to independent study.
  • Exhibit excellent subject and curriculum knowledge.
    • Design learning experiences that reinforce understanding, ignite interest, and challenge students.
    • Commit to ongoing professional development, applying new insights to classroom practices with an emphasis on literacy, numeracy, and the significance of scholarship.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons.
    • Create and implement targeted lessons that accommodate the diverse needs of students, incorporating clear objectives, constructive feedback, and evidence-based strategies to foster progress.
    • Build positive classroom relationships and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive, student-centered approach to learning and wellbeing.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the strengths and needs of students.
    • Collaborate with students to set clear, meaningful goals and adjust lessons to accommodate individual needs through various techniques, including differentiation, questioning, active learning, and technology.
    • Use assessment, feedback, and reflection to inform teaching, support progress, and establish an inclusive environment where all students feel valued and challenged.

    • Systematically assess student learning through diverse methods, providing clear feedback that promotes improvement.
    • Consistently utilize assessment data to inform teaching practices, guide planning, and ensure all students reach their potential.
