About This Role

Kativik School Board is looking to hire three Special Education Technicians for Visually Impaired Students. These positions are located in various areas across Nunavik, offering a salary between $27.72 and $33.26 per hour, based on experience.

The successful candidates will be required to work from August 15, 2023, through June 30, 2024. Main duties will include supporting teachers in delivering educational assistance to visually impaired students, executing individualized education plans, and promoting an inclusive educational atmosphere.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Special Education or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience with visually impaired individuals is preferred.
  • Familiarity with advanced technology and adaptive resources is a significant advantage.
  • Proficient communication skills in both English and French are required.
