Curriculum Overview

Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, adapted to reflect Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The school offers a cohesive educational pathway from Early Years through to Sixth Form, blending academic excellence with strong pastoral support and a focus on personal development.

The DBS curriculum is designed to be relevant, enriching, and challenging, combining academic rigor with opportunities for leadership, creativity, and global citizenship across all educational stages.

Candidates should possess:


A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.


A certified teaching qualification like a PGCE or QTS, along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be supported by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).


Exceptional subject knowledge, complemented by significant experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.


Experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) and IGCSE, AS/A Level teaching.


A proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning.


A strong commitment to enhancing the wider school community through extracurricular activities.
