Mathematics teacher in a secondary bilingual school in Shanghai, from August2026

The Position

The Subject Teacher will report directly to the Head of Department and will be instrumental in promoting the subject across all educational levels within the institution. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional organizational abilities and bring enthusiasm, energy, and creativity to their teaching methods, all while aligning with the objectives of this bilingual school.

This role involves joining a team of dedicated subject educators, which is expected to grow significantly due to increasing student enrollment. The position requires active involvement in the ongoing development of the subject throughout the school.

Qualifications:

•
A degree of high academic caliber concentrated on the relevant subject

•
A recognized teaching certification

•
A minimum of two years of teaching experience

Requirements:

•
Native-level proficiency in English;

•
At least two years of experience teaching the subject, with the ability to instruct students aged 11-18;

•
Excellent communication skills in English with students, colleagues, and parents, as well as the capability to facilitate interpretation into Chinese when required, fostering positive relationships within the school community;

•
A collaborative approach to teamwork;

•
Familiarity with various teaching resources, including suitable digital tools to enhance the educational experience;

•
Understanding of cultural nuances in China and a commitment to a cross-cultural working environment;

•
A strong dedication to engaging with the school community beyond regular academic hours, including involvement in academic enrichment and co-curricular activities;

•
Experience with A-Level or IGCSE students is advantageous.
