Position Overview:

We invite enthusiastic Biology educators to consider joining our vibrant community at Dubai American Academy, with positions available starting in August 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for IB Biology teachers who are passionate about inspiring curiosity, fostering achievement, and ensuring the success of every student at DAA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive Biology lessons that adhere to the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Design and implement creative teaching strategies that instill a love for Biology and encourage critical thinking.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to create a positive and nurturing educational environment.
• Ensure the consistent delivery of the curriculum content.
• Adapt instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Foster an inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and curiosity.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Successful candidates will possess:

• A Bachelor of Education degree or a related initial degree, along with a recognized teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE or a Level 5 equivalent specialization in Biology.
• Proven experience teaching High School Biology, preferably within an American or IB curriculum context.
• Strong expertise in inquiry-based learning and experiential Biology education.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and providing outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
