About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Upper School English Teacher to become a part of our vibrant international community at ELIS Villamartín. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and enhance the English curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, inspiring students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and achieve academic success.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a proposed start date in September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide engaging and high-quality English instruction to students aged 11–18, preparing them for IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
• Use assessment data to effectively track student progress, deliver comprehensive feedback, and set targets for improvement.
• Incorporate the ELIS Murcia Values—Respect, Care, Perseverance, Honesty, and Kindness—into all teaching, learning, and school activities.
• Track student progress using assessment data, offering timely support and challenges to help maximize each student's potential.
• Promote student wellbeing and resilience, contributing to the implementation of the Cognita Be Well Charter.
• Actively participate in the broader life of the school through co-curricular activities, events, and enrichment opportunities.
Who We Are Looking For:
• A degree and a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent).
• Proven success in teaching English at the secondary level, with experience in preparing students for external examinations.
• A commitment to holistic education, supporting both academic success and the personal growth of every student.
• Enthusiasm, creativity, and a growth mindset, with the ability to motivate both students and colleagues.
• A collaborative and adaptable approach, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
