We are currently seeking a passionate and committed Secondary Drama & English Teacher to join our team in August 2026. The ideal applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive classroom environment, and actively participating in the school community.
The Role
Thames British School is on the lookout for a well-qualified, native-level English-speaking Drama & English teacher for a full-time role starting on August 25, 2026.
The ideal candidate will have a true passion for the subject and experience in teaching secondary school students up to the age of 18.
This position is open to both experienced educators and newly qualified teachers. Your enthusiasm for teaching will motivate students across all key stages, including IGCSE and A Level.
Candidates should be familiar with and willing to integrate ICT into their teaching practices. We seek an energetic team player who is eager to engage in extracurricular activities.

The teacher will maintain consistently high standards for student behavior, engagement, and performance. They will effectively utilize formative and summative assessments, including Cambridge assessment criteria, A Level requirements, and externally examined components, to inform lesson planning, provide targeted feedback, and ensure strong examination results.
The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students, contributing to curriculum development and the overall academic vision of an international Cambridge school. They will fully engage in the pastoral care system, uphold safeguarding responsibilities in line with statutory requirements and school policies, and actively participate in the wider school community, including enrichment activities and academic mentoring.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement lessons tailored to a variety of age groups and abilities.
- Evaluate student work, provide timely and constructive feedback, and maintain detailed records of student progress and development.
- Stay updated on educational best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
