About This Role

An exciting opportunity has opened for an exceptional candidate to become part of the School’s accomplished Development Team. Reporting to the Head of Development, the successful applicant will collaborate with team members and the broader External Relations department to coordinate and enhance the School’s extensive program of events and engagement activities aimed at alumni. Additionally, this role involves managing the School’s fundraising efforts, stewardship communications, and overseeing the daily administrative functions of the Department.

Candidates should possess a degree and have demonstrable experience in building relationships with individuals as well as engaging with the wider community. The ideal applicant will be an exceptional communicator and a decisive individual who applies their excellent organizational skills to drive continuous improvement within the team’s operations. While experience in fundraising or alumni relations is preferred, individuals from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Bolton School is a vibrant, large, academically selective day school with approximately 2,500 pupils. Located just a mile from the town center, the school boasts a beautiful 32-acre campus and is conveniently accessible from some of the country’s most remarkable cities and rural areas.

The School's operations are supported by a comprehensive Foundation Services Department, which includes a trading entity, Bolton School Services Limited (BSSL). This encompasses BSS Leisure Services, Kidzone, and Patterdale Hall, an outstanding Outdoor Pursuits Centre located at the southern end of Lake Ullswater.
