About This Role

About the Role

As an Art Teacher at Dallington School, you will captivate students with engaging, structured lessons that comply with the British curriculum. Your goal will be to nurture students' artistic talents, boost their confidence, and refine their technical abilities while establishing a robust foundation in drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, and visual analysis.

A background in supporting or preparing students for the IGCSE Art & Design is crucial, as we strive to ensure a seamless transition from KS3 to exam-level coursework.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is preferred
• A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Art within the British curriculum
• Comprehensive understanding of Art teaching methodologies for KS2, KS3, and KS4
• Experience in delivering or preparing students for the IGCSE Art & Design curriculum
• Ability to design inspiring, hands-on lessons and high-quality visual arts projects
• Strong classroom management skills and excellent communication abilities
• Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning and manage digital portfolios
• Native-level English proficiency
