The chosen candidate will be responsible for teaching French as a first language from Year 1 to Year 9, following the French national curriculum, in small, well-supported class environments. The role

The French First Language Teacher will:

• Teach the French curriculum to native speakers from Year 1 to Year 9

• Conduct all lessons in French, upholding high standards of linguistic accuracy and academic rigor

• Design and deliver engaging, culturally enriching lessons that foster a profound appreciation for French language and literature

• Assist students in developing advanced skills in reading, writing, speaking, and analysis

• Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of our French First Language program

• Collaborate effectively in a British international school setting while preserving the integrity of the French curriculum

This position is particularly suited for a teacher who values academic excellence and cultural identity, and who thrives in a close-knit, supportive school community.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification

• Experience teaching French as a first language, preferably within the French curriculum

• Native or near-native fluency in French

• A solid understanding of progression in French language and literature

• The capability to inspire and challenge students across various ages and abilities

• A collaborative and reflective approach to teaching and learning

• Experience in an international school environment (desirable)
