About This Role

Aldar Education is currently looking for an exceptional Key Stage Leader - Lower Primary to join The Pearl British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

Key Responsibilities


• Create and enforce policies and practices for the department that embody the School's vision, aims, commitment to excellence in achievement, and effective teaching and learning.

• Develop, monitor, and assess short, medium, and long-term plans for departmental growth.

• Utilize data effectively to identify underachieving students within the department and formulate action plans to support them.

• Analyze and interpret pertinent school data to guide departmental policies and inform the writing of the department/school Self-Evaluation Form (SEF).

• Ensure the development and regular review of relevant schemes of work for all year groups and courses, including appropriate provisions for students with SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL needs.

• Guarantee curriculum coverage, continuity, and progression for all students, including those with high abilities and those with special educational needs.

• Establish expectations for staff regarding achievement standards, teaching quality, and student behavior.

• Assess the quality of teaching and learning within the department to identify effective practices and areas for enhancement, implementing actions for further improvement.

• Manage team performance per the school’s performance management policy.

• Ensure the efficient and effective allocation of staff and resources.

• Maintain effective control over the Department's Resource and Capital Expenditure budgets.

• Optimize the use of facilities to foster an engaging and stimulating teaching and learning environment in line with the Learning Environment Policy.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject along with a PGCE or other teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

• At least 6 years of teaching experience.

• Familiarity with the UK curriculum.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
