About This Role

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Guide the strategic growth of the school while ensuring it aligns with the EtonHouse philosophy and maintains excellence in early years and primary education.

• Uphold high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment through strong curriculum leadership, staff coaching, and ongoing school improvement initiatives.

• Manage the implementation of curricula such as the IPC, IGCSE, and International A Level, ensuring they are coherent, challenging, and inclusive.

• Lead the development, alignment, and approval processes for the school’s strategic direction, ensuring that both long-term and short-term plans reflect Group priorities, are clearly communicated, and receive Board endorsement.

• Implement, monitor, and continuously enhance the school’s development strategies, evaluating progress, identifying emerging needs, and adjusting plans to ensure goals are met effectively.

• Provide regular performance updates to the CEO, Singapore.

• Assist the CEO, Singapore with any additional responsibilities as needed.

Pedagogical and Curriculum Leadership

• Spearhead curriculum design and alignment, collaborating with the HQ Pedagogy team to deliver a high-quality, balanced, and developmentally appropriate curriculum that is consistent across EtonHouse schools to facilitate smooth student transitions.

• Ensure exceptional teaching and learning outcomes by guiding staff in the effective implementation of the curriculum framework, upholding high pedagogical standards, and monitoring, reviewing, and supporting teaching quality throughout the school.

• Supervise assessment and reporting processes, coaching teachers in tracking, assessing, documenting, and evaluating student learning and development; ensuring assessments are authentic, well-documented, confidentially stored, and communicated to parents as necessary.

• Uphold the quality of programs and resources, ensuring alignment with IB PYP Standards and Practices for ongoing accreditation, securing adequate teaching materials and resources, and supporting program development.

Student Learning and Experience

• Monitor and evaluate student achievement, progress, and wellbeing, utilizing data to inform decisions and interventions.

• Foster a holistic educational experience that includes co-curricular activities, community initiatives, and opportunities that cultivate character, confidence, and global citizenship.

• Recognize and celebrate student achievements, ensuring a positive, engaging, and enriching school atmosphere.

• Promote a caring, connected, and respectful school community where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged in their growth.

• Manage the admissions process, ensuring that new students meet requirements, all records and documents are complete, and that child–staff ratios are maintained.

• Oversee student placements, arranging class assignments based on age, friendships, previous placements, as well as learning and developmental needs.

School Culture – Staffing, Wellbeing and Community

• Inspire and develop the entire school team, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-energy work environment while mentoring staff to reach their fullest potential.

• Enhance teaching quality through coaching, conducting classroom observations, providing timely feedback, and facilitating continuous improvement in instructional practices.

• Promote professional growth and performance, setting clear objectives, assessing progress, and planning targeted professional development based on identified team needs.

• Oversee staffing and HR processes, collaborating with the HR Business Partner on workforce planning, leading recruitment and onboarding efforts, and managing staff scheduling, relief coverage, and resourcing for new programs or classes.

• Lead and supervise robust safeguarding, wellbeing, and pastoral systems.

• Build strong relationships with families and the wider community through open communication, meaningful engagement, and a visible, approachable presence.

• Support and develop the School's leadership team and teaching staff, fostering a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and professional learning.

• Oversee staff recruitment, onboarding, and performance management to ensure a strong and stable workforce.

• Drive effective professional development that enhances instructional quality and supports staff progression.

• Lead all child safeguarding initiatives, ensuring student safety and wellbeing by developing and reviewing safeguarding policies, raising staff awareness, and ensuring consistent implementation across the school.

• Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with parents, ensuring timely and effective communication regarding student progress and fostering positive professional relationships between parents and all teaching and non-teaching staff.

School Management - Operations, Compliance, and Administration

• Supervise and enhance daily school operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning supported by clear, regularly reviewed SOPs that align with Group standards.

• Optimize the school’s physical environment and resources, ensuring facilities are well-maintained, well-resourced, and effectively utilized to support high-quality learning and a positive working atmosphere.

• Collaborate with administration and support teams to ensure daily operations run efficiently.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and health and safety requirements.

• Partner with the Head Office on resource planning, budgeting, enrollment strategy, and campus development.

Marketing, Enrollment and Financial Management

• Propel enrollment growth and enhance brand visibility, developing strategies to maximize school capacity, working alongside the marketing team, and leading events and initiatives that promote the school and Group.

• Strengthen relationships with current and prospective families, guiding the parent liaison team and engaging directly with prospective parents through discussions, tours, and explanations of the school’s curriculum and ethos.

• Collaborate with the Parent Liaison Team to ensure accurate enrollment reports are submitted.

• Manage financial planning and budgeting by setting the annual school budget, reviewing it regularly, ensuring timely fee collection, adherence to the approved budget, and allocating adequate resources for effective school operations.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
