ELL Teacher (Middle School)

Raffles American School (RAS) is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and innovative Middle School ELL Teacher to become part of our team for the 2026 academic year.

Position Overview

Raffles American School Bangkok is in search of a committed and student-focused Middle School ELL Teacher to assist learners in enhancing their academic English skills. The ideal candidate will provide specialized English language instruction and collaborate closely with classroom educators to ensure multilingual students can engage fully with the curriculum.

This position emphasizes small-group teaching, language acquisition, and teamwork with subject instructors to help students gain confidence and mastery in academic English.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized English language instruction to middle school ELL students

• Design and implement lessons aimed at enhancing reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities

• Aid students in navigating academic content across various subjects

• Assess and monitor student language development and advancement

• Partner with classroom and subject teachers to support multilingual learners

• Maintain communication with parents and colleagues concerning student progress

• Actively participate in the broader school community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, or a related discipline

• Preferred teaching qualification or license

• Experience with English language learners in an international or multilingual environment is advantageous

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Capability to tailor instruction for diverse English proficiency levels

We provide competitive salaries for fully qualified and licensed teachers in full-time core subject and homeroom teaching positions. Please note that there is no additional housing allowance. Candidates from abroad will have their flight to Thailand reimbursed (details will be provided by HR to the selected candidate) and will receive round-trip airfare to their home country at the conclusion of each two-year contract. RAS will also cover visa and work permit costs. Comprehensive medical, accident, disability, and life insurance are included.
