RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for delivering exceptional teaching and learning, aligning with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy by:
- Establishing a learning environment that fosters outstanding educational practices.
- Defining clear teaching and learning goals.
- Setting specific targets that build upon previous achievements.
- Identifying students with SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T needs and ensuring their requirements are met through tailored differentiation.
- Structuring lessons and learning activities that maintain engagement, pace, and challenge.
- Utilizing assessment for learning effectively.
- Leveraging performance data and key indicators to guide lesson planning and provide differentiated instruction.
- Incorporating ICT effectively to enhance student learning and progress.
- Upholding discipline in line with the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' and promoting positive practices regarding punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework.
- Evaluating the achievement of learning objectives and using this information to refine teaching practices.
- Marking student work at least bi-weekly and setting progress targets in accordance with the school's Marking Policy.
- Systematically assessing and recording student progress, utilizing performance data to inform planning, learning, and progress.
- Conducting assessments as required by examination bodies and adhering to departmental and school protocols.
- Preparing and delivering comprehensive reports for parents.
- Participating in and supporting parent and student events.
- Engaging in curriculum development by producing, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a Classroom Teacher within the English Curriculum.
