Curriculum Overview

Doha British School implements the National Curriculum of England, tailored to resonate with Qatar’s culture, heritage, and values. The institution offers a seamless learning experience from Early Years through to Sixth Form, merging academic excellence with strong pastoral support and a commitment to personal development.

Throughout all levels, the DBS curriculum is crafted to be pertinent, enriching, and challenging, integrating academic rigor with leadership development, creativity, and global citizenship.

Candidates for this role should possess:

• A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.

• A certified teaching qualification such as a PGCE or QTS, along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant bachelor’s degree).

• Outstanding subject expertise, with substantial experience in teaching the National Curriculum of England.

• Experience in teaching IGCSE, AS/A Level, and International Baccalaureate (IB) courses.

• A documented history of delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences.

• A strong dedication to enhancing the wider school community through extracurricular engagement.
