About This Role
Job Purpose
The goal is to provide exceptional teaching and learning experiences in Mathematics throughout the secondary phase (Key Stages 3–5), ensuring significant academic advancement, active student engagement, and adherence to the British curriculum alongside KHDA standards.
Job Responsibilities
•
Design and deliver captivating, tailored Maths lessons that align with the British curriculum, ensuring remarkable student progress and achievement.
•
Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and resources that comply with curriculum requirements and meet KHDA guidelines.
•
Evaluate, assess, and report on student performance, utilizing data to guide instruction and facilitate targeted interventions.
•
Create a supportive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages high expectations, fosters positive behavior for learning, and prioritizes student wellbeing.
•
Play a role in curriculum development, moderation, and the ongoing enhancement of the Maths department.
•
Offer academic assistance via tutorials, revision sessions, and enrichment activities, including exam preparation.
•
Communicate with parents through meetings, reports, and school events to bolster student progress and success.
•
Actively engage in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives.
•
Uphold school policies, safeguarding protocols, and maintain inspection readiness in accordance with KHDA standards.
Qualifications
•
A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics is required; a PGCE/B.Ed. or an equivalent teaching qualification is also necessary.
•
A minimum of 2–3 years of experience teaching Secondary Maths in a British curriculum school is essential.
•
Experience in the UAE/GCC is preferred.
