About This Role

At Citizens School, we are revolutionizing education with a progressive vision to "Inspire, Empower, Thrive." Our core values and approach are anchored in four foundational pillars: fostering entrepreneurial mindsets, embracing inquiry-based learning, facilitating transdisciplinary project-based learning, and ensuring every learner is recognized and valued as an individual. We are committed to equipping learners for future challenges by integrating real-world applications into all subjects and encouraging personal exploration and growth in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.

Role Overview:

Citizens School Dubai offers a dynamic and innovative work environment. The successful applicant will collaborate closely with the Nursery Manager, Managing Director of Operations, and the Senior Leadership Team, playing a vital role in supporting and inspiring our youngest learners.

As the Nursery Mentor, you will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space that fosters curiosity, creativity, and confidence. You will help design and implement exceptional early years provision, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

At Citizens School, our mission revolves around Inspiring, Empowering, and enabling all learners to Thrive.

Your task is to bring this vision into action—encouraging learners to uncover their potential, take charge of their learning, and flourish in their unique ways.

Your role is to embed and enhance this vision in every aspect of your work. It involves guiding learners to recognize their own potential and pathways, empowering them to take ownership of their educational journey, and thrive in their distinctive ways.

Our Early Years Approach:

In our nursery, we utilize the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, emphasizing the seven areas of learning alongside our tailored Citizens Future Framework. Our nursery curriculum is centered around four essential pillars:

1. Entrepreneurship
We cultivate creativity, imagination, and initiative from the earliest ages. Learners are encouraged to explore ideas, solve problems, and take manageable risks through play and exploration. This nurtures an entrepreneurial mindset, fostering resilience and adaptability.

Project-Based and Inquiry-Led Learning
In the nursery, project-based learning is integrated into age-appropriate, play-focused experiences. Through themed projects, learners enhance collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills while forging meaningful connections to their surroundings.

Everyone Known and Known Well
Every learner is appreciated as an individual. By building strong, trusting relationships with mentors, we ensure that each learner’s strengths, interests, and requirements are understood and supported. This personal connection fosters a welcoming and inclusive learning community.

An Inquiry-Based Mindset
Curiosity is encouraged at every turn. Learners are supported to ask questions, explore, and investigate. This hands-on approach promotes critical thinking, deepens understanding, and instills a passion for lifelong learning.
