About you:

We are looking to recruit an Inclusion Learning Support Assistant to join our team immediately.

Job Purpose: The position entails providing small group and one-on-one support in literacy, mathematics, motor skills, and/or language. The Individual Needs Support Assistant will aid teachers in enhancing the involvement of students with SEND and/or learning barriers in their academic and social development.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute activities to meet IEP targets, implement structured literacy intervention programs, and professionally report on student progress and outcomes to parents and teachers.

• Provide in-class assistance during lessons to facilitate access to differentiated learning.

• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning, particularly those with SEND or learning barriers.

• Encourage the inclusion and acceptance of all students.

• Offer feedback to students regarding their progress and achievements, guided by teachers.

• Track, maintain, and review records of student progress over time, assisting teachers in planning future lessons based on individual needs.

• Maintain the learning environment and create suitable resources for students.

• Implement strategies that boost students’ self-esteem, confidence, and independence.

• Work within the Inclusion Team, participating in relevant training and attending parent review meetings as needed.

Job Specification:

• Candidates should possess a GCSE in English or equivalent and demonstrate proficiency in both spoken and written English.

• Relevant qualifications and/or completion of training in education and special educational needs are required.

• Previous experience in a support role within a school setting is essential.

• Working hours are from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• A strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining staff and student confidentiality are required.

• Good organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary. Familiarity with inclusive pedagogies is advantageous.

• Knowledge of SEND will be a plus.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
