About This Role

Raffles American School (RAS) is on the lookout for a dynamic and dedicated Whole School ELL Coordinator to become a part of our Middle and High School team for the academic year 2026.

Position Overview
Raffles American School Bangkok is in search of an experienced and cooperative Whole School ELL Coordinator to spearhead and enhance the English Language Learning program throughout the school.

This vital position within our expanding ELL department emphasizes enhancing service delivery, ensuring consistent practices, and assisting teachers in addressing the needs of multilingual students. The chosen candidate will engage across different divisions and will also be responsible for teaching middle school ELL classes (around 14 teaching hours).

Key Responsibilities
• Direct the advancement and management of the ELL program throughout the entire school
• Collaborate closely with ELL and classroom teachers to implement effective strategies for multilingual students
• Assist in the application and oversight of ELL practices, ensuring uniformity across grades
• Lead or facilitate ELL coordination meetings and professional collaboration
• Support the utilization of assessment tools (e.g., WIDA) to monitor student progress and guide instruction
• Evaluate and aid in the development of ELL resources and curriculum alignment
• Teach middle school ELL classes (approximately 14 hours weekly)
• Track student advancement and promote data-driven decision-making
• Effectively communicate with staff, leadership, and parents regarding ELL services

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or a related discipline
• Teaching qualification or certification
• Experience working with English language learners in an educational environment
• Strong knowledge of ELL best practices and language acquisition principles
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Preferred
• Experience in an ELL leadership or coordination capacity
• Familiarity with WIDA or similar language assessment frameworks
• Background in an international or multicultural school setting
• Experience in supporting or coaching educators in ELL methodologies

Compensation
• Competitive salary in accordance with experience
• Additional coordinator stipend alongside teaching salary

We provide competitive salaries for fully qualified and licensed teachers in full-time core subject and homeroom positions. Please note that there is no housing stipend available. Overseas applicants will receive reimbursement for their flight to Thailand (details will be shared by HR with the selected candidate) and will be offered round-trip airfare to their home country at the conclusion of each two-year contract. RAS will also cover visa and work permit expenses, along with providing medical, accident, disability, and life insurance.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
