About This Role

TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS

We are looking for a Teacher of Mathematics to start in August 2026.

The English College in Dubai is seeking an energetic, thoughtful, and inspiring Teacher of Mathematics to join our Mathematics Faculty and Secondary School beginning August 2026. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a growth mindset and uphold high expectations for both staff and students. A commitment to ongoing professional development and a belief in the possibility of improvement are essential. We are interested in an educator who is passionate about promoting holistic development in students—academically, emotionally, physically, and socially.

With a rich history of 33 years, The English College is one of Dubai’s oldest educational institutions. We are an independent, co-educational school offering the British curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage through Year 13, strategically located off Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai. Our students embark on an enriching journey from their early days as Curious Cubs to their accomplishments as EC Lions, guided by dedicated staff who nurture talents, instill confidence, and ignite ambition. Our mission is clear: Learn. Thrive. Make a Difference. Education at our school goes beyond conventional classrooms; it emphasizes curiosity, creativity, resilience, and character. We prioritize well-being, believing that when both students and teachers feel supported and happy, success naturally follows.

Our facilities are exceptionally equipped. Our cutting-edge STEAM center, which opened in August 2025, includes design technology labs, a graphics studio, a media suite, and a robotics studio. Furthermore, our Secondary Building features two drama studios, a fitness suite, specialized art and music rooms, and science laboratories. Our Primary building offers specialist facilities for computing, art, science, and STEAM. We have established a reputation for academic excellence, prioritizing each student's success at the core of our mission. Our students are enthusiastic, committed, and passionate learners, while our staff includes outstanding teaching professionals dedicated to providing excellent and ongoing CPD opportunities. Our parents are actively engaged in supporting their children’s learning, attainment, and progress.

The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, strong qualifications, and a commitment to teaching, along with a distinguished track record. Teaching roles at EC offer a fulfilling, enjoyable, and challenging experience, providing the opportunity to be part of a progressive and dynamic school recognized as Outstanding by BSO (2022) and Very Good by DSIB (2023). The ideal candidate should exhibit a creative approach to teaching and learning, capable of inspiring and motivating students with diverse talents and abilities. Applicants must possess the skills and vision necessary to uphold high expectations for all, utilizing data to address the needs of all learners and offering suitable challenges and support when required. A readiness to teach Mathematics up to A level is essential, along with a willingness to instruct other science subjects at KS3 and/or KS4.

We prioritize hiring individuals who resonate with our values and character. All successful candidates must align with our core purpose, vision, and values. We seek a dedicated team player who brings the drive, energy, and passion to enrich our progressive school. You should demonstrate the ability to facilitate students in achieving their best as part of a team, exhibit a proactive commitment to the pastoral care and well-being of our learners, and be prepared to contribute to the vibrant extra-curricular activities our school offers. The successful candidate will also play a vital role in safeguarding our students.

The English College is a community where our wonderful students, dedicated staff of exceptional teachers, and support personnel create an outstanding environment for learning and teaching. Apply via the WhatSchool platform.
