About This Role
Amity International School in Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit a dedicated, skilled, and enthusiastic Teacher of English. A valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required, along with a proven track record of excellence in teaching at KS3, KS4, and KS5 according to the UK Curriculum.

Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching English in a secondary school setting
- Familiarity with the British curriculum in English (GCSE and A-Level)
- Strong grasp of historical periods, themes, and historiography
- Experience in fostering analytical and evaluative skills in students
- Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies for a variety of learners
- Experience in incorporating primary and secondary sources in lessons
- Excellent communication skills for facilitating discussion-based learning
- Awareness of contemporary methodologies and best practices in history education
- Experience in assessing and tracking student progress in history
- Ability to encourage intercultural understanding through historical perspectives
- Experience in organizing educational trips and activities to enhance learning
