Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching English in a secondary school setting
• Familiarity with the British curriculum in English (GCSE and A-Level)
• Strong grasp of historical periods, themes, and historiography
• Experience in fostering analytical and evaluative skills in students
• Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies for a variety of learners
• Experience in incorporating primary and secondary sources in lessons
• Excellent communication skills for facilitating discussion-based learning
• Awareness of contemporary methodologies and best practices in history education
• Experience in assessing and tracking student progress in history
• Ability to encourage intercultural understanding through historical perspectives
• Experience in organizing educational trips and activities to enhance learning
