We are in search of a dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated computer science teacher to join our team and support the principal, staff, and our students in our mission to be ‘Ready for university, ready to lead.’
Are you passionate about computer science and its positive impact on young people in Newham, East London? Do you have innovative ideas to inspire students in computer science and numeracy, helping them build their skills and confidence in this vital subject?
At our academy, we are committed to enhancing computer science learning and outcomes, ensuring that every student feels confident in their abilities and can excel in GCSEs. We recognize the challenges ahead but aim for our students to enjoy computer science and perform exceptionally at GCSE level and beyond. This position will play a crucial role in envisioning, implementing, and supporting advancements in the department, making it ideal for an enthusiastic and devoted computer science educator.

Our Academy:
Oasis Academy Silvertown was envisioned and established by the West Silvertown community, which aspired to create a local school that offered both academic excellence and nurturing care for local children. After years of discussions, planning, and applications to the Department for Education, the academy opened its doors in September 2014 in temporary facilities and moved into its permanent location in September 2022.
Our vision is to ensure all students are ‘Ready for University, Ready to Lead.’ We remain committed to the original aspirations of the community, fostering an environment where we set high academic standards for every student while nurturing their growth as future leaders. Our small size allows every child to be known by our staff, creating a close-knit community where students are eager to learn and behave well.
