About This Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging, customized Chemistry lessons for middle years students, fostering a deep understanding of scientific principles.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and secure laboratory environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic achievement.
- Design and administer a range of formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, providing insightful and constructive feedback.
- Collaborate actively within the Science department to develop curriculum resources, align teaching strategies, and nurture a culture of shared excellence.
- Engage fully with the wider school community by participating in events, parent-teacher conferences, and committing to continuous professional growth.
- Enhance the school's co-curricular programs by leading or assisting in activities such as science clubs, academic competitions, or STEM initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master’s degree is preferred).
- A valid teaching qualification (such as PGCE, QTS, or an equivalent international certification).
- Proven experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary school level.
- A solid academic background in Chemistry coupled with a genuine passion for the subject.
- High proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities, with a capacity to collaborate effectively in a diverse, multicultural educational setting.
- A strong commitment to innovative teaching methods, student-centered learning, and continuous professional development.
