Position Overview
As a Physical Education (PE) Teacher at our international school, you will play a vital role in encouraging physical fitness, wellness, and an active lifestyle among students. Your responsibilities will include delivering engaging PE lessons, enhancing students’ physical skills, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship, and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment.
You will contribute to the development of the PE curriculum, support the overall growth of students, and collaborate effectively within our diverse school community.
Key Responsibilities
•
Design and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons that are appropriate for students’ ages, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
•
Teach a range of sports, games, and physical activities with a focus on movement skills, techniques, strategies, and fair play.
•
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and respect throughout all activities.
•
Create and implement a progressive PE curriculum using various teaching methods and resources.
•
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
•
Promote healthy lifestyles by instructing students on physical fitness, nutrition, and overall well-being.
•
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
•
Ensure student safety during all PE activities and comply with school health and safety regulations.
•
Plan and supervise extracurricular sports activities, tournaments, and school events.
•
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student growth.
•
Participate in school events, meetings, professional development activities, and parent-teacher conferences.
•
Contribute positively to the overall school community and uphold the institution’s mission and values.
General Duties
•
Comply with and actively support all school policies and procedures.
•
Follow school Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a secure learning environment.
•
Perform any additional tasks as assigned by PBISS management.
•
Assist with school-wide initiatives and projects that enhance the organization.
Qualifications and Skills
•
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field.
•
Teaching qualification or certification is preferred.
•
Previous experience teaching Physical Education, preferably in an international or multicultural context.
•
Strong knowledge of sports, physical fitness, and wellness practices.
•
Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
•
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
•
Capability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
•
Strong organizational and time management skills.
•
Dedication to ongoing professional development.
•
CPR and First Aid certification (or a willingness to obtain one).
•
Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
