About This Role
Job Responsibilities:
1. Deliver Math instruction utilizing diverse teaching strategies that engage students and support varied learning needs, in alignment with curriculum requirements.
2. Uphold classroom discipline following school policies, fostering positive behavior management practices among students.
3. Employ a range of assessment techniques to regularly evaluate and monitor students' progress in accordance with course goals.
4. Contribute to the creation and execution of the strategic action plan for the subject area.
5. Actively participate in staff and departmental meetings, providing input and collaboration.
6. Execute the teaching plan effectively as designated by the school.
7. Regularly assess and reflect on the learning and teaching techniques employed.
8. Implement safeguarding measures to ensure a safe environment for students in the classroom.
9. Engage in the school’s professional learning initiatives and ongoing development programs, focusing on subject knowledge and pedagogical strategies.
10. Attend Parent Teacher Conferences and partake in various academic and pastoral events.
11. Maintain clear communication with parents regarding students' academic achievements, adhering to the school’s reporting protocols and addressing specific concerns as they arise.
12. Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed according to the school calendar.
13. Adhere to the current policies and regulations set forth by the school.
14. Consistently embody the school’s values, both within the school environment and in the broader community.
Requirements:
1. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area; a Master’s degree is preferred.
2. At least three years of pertinent teaching experience within an international curriculum, with familiarity in A-Level and IGCSE courses.
3. Strong classroom management skills and a background in organizing extracurricular activities is advantageous.
4. A native-level English speaker with professional expertise and a strong drive for a long-term, stable role.
5. Excellent cross-cultural awareness.
6. Extensive experience in both Chinese and Western educational systems, with an understanding of their differences and adaptability to new environments and international curricula.
7. Commitment to respecting and adhering to school regulations.
