THE ACADEMY
GEMS World Academy–Dubai (GWA) is a distinguished private, co-educational IB World School that serves students from PreK to Grade 12. THE ROLE
The Inclusion department at GEMS World Academy has played a pivotal role in transforming student outcomes and nurturing a genuine passion for learning. The Inclusion department is highly valued by our students for the personalized care and support it offers.
We welcome applications from passionate Secondary Inclusion professionals who are eager to inspire a love of learning. Positions will be available starting in August 2026.
SKILLS
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of effective teaching and a dedication to student success. While prior experience with the IB Middle Years Programmes and Diploma Programmes is preferred, we encourage exceptional educators from any curriculum background to apply. Alignment with the IB philosophy and commitment to the values of the Learner Profile are essential. A genuine passion for working in a non-selective, culturally diverse community is also important. Additionally, candidates should have:
- A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree along with a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent specialization in Inclusion
- While advanced qualifications are advantageous, they are not mandatory
- A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Secondary Inclusion, ideally in an IB curriculum school, although this is not a strict requirement
- A strong understanding of the IB MYP/DP framework and Approaches to Teaching is preferred
- A commitment to continuous improvement in teaching practices to deliver exceptional learning experiences for students
- The personality, experience, and educational philosophy that align with a leading IB World School like GEMS World Academy
- Availability in August 2026
