About This Role

Job Overview
Role Introduction
We are looking for dedicated educators to teach Computer Science, from lower secondary (Year 7) to iGCSE level, with the possibility of A-level instruction, at our school in Koh Samui. This is a unique chance to develop your skills on one of Thailand's most celebrated islands while participating in a results-focused teaching approach.

Main Duties

• Engage with the school community through various means, including enrichment activities, developing effective teaching methods and curricula, implementing interventions for individuals or groups, managing internal assessments, or participating in outreach programs.

• Instruct students of varied age groups and abilities, providing challenges for advanced learners while offering support for those who may find the subject more challenging.

• Actively seek your own professional growth and development alongside our leadership team.

• Follow the school's assessment and reporting protocols, adhere to the teacher's manual, and attend parents' meetings as required.

• Participate in the co-curricular elements of school life as agreed with the leadership team.

• Show a strong commitment to safeguarding all young individuals.

• Tutor both small and large groups of students, demonstrating a genuine interest in their academic progress and overall well-being.

• Regularly contribute to initiatives related to educational development or pastoral care, supporting the school and building rapport with students.

• May have the opportunity to take on the role of STEM coordinator.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be a reflective educator who:

• Holds a good honours degree (2:1 or higher) and/or a further qualification in a related field.

• Has experience with the Cambridge curriculum at KS3, IGCSE, and A levels in CS/ICT (preferred).

• Is passionate about their subject and possesses the expertise to deliver engaging lessons to the diverse student population at PBISS.

• Shares PBISS's holistic vision for education and is enthusiastic about contributing to the co-curricular and pastoral aspects of school life.

• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to forge relationships and collaborate effectively with a wide range of individuals.

Professional Development

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
