Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging, inquiry-driven lessons that spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and cultivate a passion for learning.
- Establish a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that recognizes and nurtures each student's unique strengths and learning preferences.
- Adapt teaching strategies to cater to the varied needs of all students, including those who are EAL, gifted, or need additional support.
- Incorporate technology and innovative methods to enhance student learning experiences and engagement.
- Effectively assess, record, and communicate student progress, utilizing data to guide teaching and provide personalized support.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum plans, resources, and assessments that align with the IB framework.
- Participate in the broader school community through co-curricular activities, events, and initiatives that engage the wider community.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and the school community to support student development and wellbeing.
- Commit to continuous professional development and reflection to improve teaching practices.
- Embrace and uphold the GEMS values and the principles of the IB Learner Profile in all areas of school life.
