Runnymede College, a non-denominational British private school situated in Madrid, offers a British education for children aged two to eighteen, embracing a diverse student body from various nationalities. Our curriculum follows the British National Curriculum.

Founded as a private school in September 1967, our primary division launched in 1987, and since 1990, the entire institution has been located in La Moraleja, in the northern region of Madrid. The school is divided into three main stages: Pre-Prep (Pre Nursery to Year 3), Prep (Years 4 to 8), and Senior School (Years 9 to 13).

Runnymede College is recognized for its outstanding academic achievements. In June 2025, 57% of our students earned A-A* at A level, exceeding the 48% of A*-A grades achieved by independent schools in England this year. Furthermore, 67% of our students received A*-A grades at IGCSE, a significant accomplishment compared to the 48% of A*-A grades at GCSE in the English private school sector.

Among our graduating class of 2025, 83% of those pursuing university in the UK will enroll in Top 10 institutions as per the Sunday Times Good University Guide. This year’s graduates will be welcomed by prestigious universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, and LSE. In the United States, students have embarked on their higher education journeys at distinguished colleges including Harvard, Columbia, UPenn, and Brown, among others.

Some of our students will continue their studies in Spain at leading institutions such as ICADE, IE, and ICAI, while others will explore further education opportunities at top universities across Europe, including in France and Ireland.

We invite you to join a dynamic and rewarding educational community, both inside and outside the classroom. Applicants should be ready to participate actively in the school’s co-curricular programs.
