The British College of Gava, an IB World School located just 20 minutes from Barcelona, is looking to hire a full-time Mathematics teacher to commence in August 2025.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a growing, purpose-built institution equipped with outstanding facilities in an excellent setting. We are seeking a full-time Mathematics teacher to instruct students across KS3, GCSE, and IBDP AI and AA Mathematics classes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare, deliver, and review class or subject-based activities that enhance student learning opportunities.
- Plan lessons by agreed deadlines in designated formats and ensure that planning documents are accessible to relevant parties.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and share this with colleagues when suitable.
- Create a stimulating and well-organized classroom environment where time and resources are utilized effectively.
- Engage students in the target-setting process.
- Assign homework that reinforces and extends classroom learning while providing timely feedback on students’ work.
- Promote good behavior among students and cultivate positive attitudes towards peers, adults, property, and academic work.
- Keep accurate records of student progress and ensure the timely transfer of up-to-date records when students change classes or schools.
- Foster a robust home-school partnership by consulting with and informing parents about their children's progress, achievement, and attitudes.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential:
- UK-trained with qualified teacher status
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in secondary education
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the English National Curriculum
- Experience with iGCSE/A Level/IBDP
Desirable:
- Familiarity with IB programmes
- Master's or postgraduate qualification
- Right to work in the EU
