The British College of Gava, an IB World School located just 20 minutes from Barcelona, is looking to hire a full-time Mathematics teacher to begin in August 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing, purpose-built institution featuring outstanding facilities in a prime location. We are in search of a dedicated Mathematics teacher to instruct students across KS3, GCSE, and IBDP AI and AA Mathematics groups.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare, deliver, and assess class or subject-based activities that enhance student learning opportunities.
- Plan lessons within agreed timelines and formats, ensuring that planning documents are accessible to relevant parties.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and share insights with colleagues when appropriate.
- Create a stimulating and organized classroom environment where time and resources are utilized effectively.
- Involve students in the process of setting learning targets.
- Assign homework that reinforces and expands upon classroom learning, providing timely feedback on student work.
- Foster positive behavior in students and cultivate respectful attitudes towards peers, adults, property, and schoolwork.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and ensure timely transfer of updated records when students move classes or schools.
- Develop and sustain a positive home-school partnership by regularly consulting with and informing parents about their children's progress, achievements, and attitudes.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential:
- UK trained with qualified teacher status
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in secondary education teaching
- A solid understanding of the English National Curriculum
- Experience with iGCSE/A Level/IBDP
Desirable:
- Familiarity with IB programmes
- A Master's or postgraduate qualification
- The right to work in the EU
