This pivotal role is crucial to our mission of fostering a culture of creativity, excellence, and entrepreneurial spirit among our students and staff.

About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary leader committed to enriching learning experiences within the Languages and Humanities disciplines. You will champion critical thinking, cultural awareness, and effective communication skills, motivating both students and educators alike. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing a transformative educational framework, nurturing a vibrant department where both staff and students are encouraged to enhance their linguistic and humanistic skills, apply them adeptly, and pursue their aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of innovative and reflective educators.
• Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons and potentially teach other subjects, showcasing a dynamic teaching approach in your classroom.
• Foster a love for learning while expanding knowledge in languages and humanities.
• Develop and implement a cutting-edge educational strategy in these fields.
• Create an environment that promotes inquiry and creativity.
• Encourage students to excel in IGCSE and other assessments, as well as in international competitions and cultural exchanges.
• Ensure mastery of the subject matter and excellence in curriculum design.
• Devise strategies to support gifted students in achieving outstanding results across academic and extracurricular activities.
• Actively engage in the school’s co-curricular programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A master’s degree or doctorate in a relevant subject area is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience and a successful history in a similar head of department or academic leadership position.
• Ideally, we are looking for a UK-trained and qualified teacher with relevant experience in UK or British International schools.
